Accountability: Day 1

Accountability usually plays a pretty big part in achieving goals. Particularly in this case, I need accountability together anything dome because I am, by nature, lazy. Whether it’s business goals, spiritual goals, or fitness wishes, I have tried to make a few people aware of what I am doing so that I won’t feel bad for not doing it.

Yesterday I walked/jogged 2.27 miles. A good friend of mine, Marnie Kunz, helped sketch out a workout plan for me to get started. I have a horrible injury to my right knee that has been troubling me for about 10 years now, so that plays a big factor in my plans as I usually wish to be more active but can’t.

When I am active, I tend to eat healthier because I can’t bear to see all that hard work go to waste. So yesterday I had a BLT with avocado for lunch, homemade guacamole and chips for a snack, an delicious yellow split pea soup for dinner. Water in between and no midnight snacking.

Feeling good so far! My goal is to:
1. Lose 25 pounds
2. Be able to run a 5K
3. Actively involved in some team intramural sport.

I have 3 months to achieve this goal.

Let the games begin!
